Music for the Heartland
Friends of Opera champions the next generation of vocal artists at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music through events that help exceptional young singers develop their craft and expand their networks. Guided by an all-volunteer community, nearly every gift directly inspires artistic excellence, education, and access to music-making across Nebraska.
Friends of Opera is a 501(c)(3) public charity, and all contributions are tax deductible.

UNL ALUMNI & INTERNATIONAL OPERA SINGER
Jeni Houser, soprano
After graduating from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music, soprano Jeni Houser has built an international career, earning praise from Opera News as “commanding and duplicitous, yet also vulnerable.” She has appeared in leading roles at major opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Dallas Opera, Wiener Staatsoper, Minnesota Opera, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, and Cincinnati Opera, among many others. She is currently Assistant Professor of Voice at the University of Notre Dame.
